Part I. What you need TO DO

1.         Project topic

            Like you all know, the main theme of the project will be realizing an advertise and an ECO day consisting in a street action that will illustrate the importance of  volunteering for encouraging the development of youngsters “green” skills and behaviors.

   If you have any person in your groups involved in the voluntary field they will be more than welcome to help us with their experience, participating or organizing any activities.

2.         Participants

It is urgently and very important for us to know as soon as possible the names of the leaders and the list of the participants. We prefer gender balance.

3.         Application form

I want to underline it is really helpful for us to have filled the application form of the participants. Knowing specific information’s about each of you, as gender, age, special needs or your expectations can improve a lot the quality of the project.

 So, be my guests and send the application form as soon as possible.

4.         Accommodation

We still didn’t decide the exact location, but as soon as we do, you will get full info about it.

I want to inform you that for the good development of the project and for knowing each other better you will be accommodated with people from different countries.

Please inform us if you are ok with this; also we need to know if there are any couples in your groups.

5.         Transport issues

I would like to inform you that you have to decide the way of your transportation and e-mail us your decision.

Please, keep in mind that as the time is passing the flight tickets get more and more expensive. If you come in Romania by plane don’t take a taxi cab from the airport because it is too expensive. Find a bus that will take you to the train station in Bucharest. We will pick you up when you arrive in Galati, from the train station.

6.         Reimbursement

The good news is that we will make the reimbursement during the project if you have all the documents complete: ID card, boarding pass/ bus ticket/ train ticket/ flight receipts.

About this issue you have attached a reimbursement agreement. Please inform your team and send it to me scan after your NGO responsible will stamp and sign it.

7.         Your contribution

We are open to any suggestions. If you feel to get involved please let us know and we will immediately include you in the schedule. We all have to contribute in order to realize a good project.

Each delegation has to prepare a warm up consisting in a traditional dance. I would like to ask you to have the music prepared already.

Each team has to prepare a statistic about the environmental situation of its own country.  Please send me this document via email before the project.

During the project, some participants will attend TV shows, radio or interviews. Have one of the members of your team prepared with a speech about your NGO.

 8.        International evenings

As it is planned, you will represent your country together to another nationality. As for the time, you will have available about 45 minutes. You can bring power point presentations but I would suggest you to be more interactive and original; as the people are already tired after day activities it might be better not to bore them.

Please don’t forget to bring info about your country, music, drinks and special food.

9.         Weather

I will let u know you about temperature but closer to the project. February in Romania is really cold. Keep in mind we will organize outside actions.

10.       Currency

The money we use is LEI.

1 EUR = 4,3 LEI (may vary depending on day).

In the airport the exchange is not very good so it’s better for you to change only for the bus/ train ticket.

When u get in Galati, we will help you to change the amount of money you want.
